We tried to get you all together for a photo…not as easy as it sounds!  Here are some of your amazing group, we are all very proud of you.  Keep up the hard work!

Whew!  That was some week. Are you looking forward to a little calm this week?

Thank you to our energetic and creative Community Council for re-imagining our annual celebration.  From the dress up days, lunchtime fun, marauding marching band, all-school lip dub, pep rally to the spectacular bonfire which I got to light, it was a Blue Wave Pride extravaganza! And that our football team was victorious on Saturday afternoon under a beautiful blue sky, let’s all just agree this was the place to be. Thank you all for your boundless enthusiasm and joie de vivre. I am the most fortunate Principal in the land!

Be sure to take a look at our flickr feed for more glimpses from the week.

Congratulations to the DHS Class of 1956, who are gathering this weekend for Homecoming and their 50th Reunion.  A contingent stopped by on Wednesday afternoon and were treated to a building tour by National Honor Society students.  Best wishes for a joyful reunion! class-of-1956-003

Spirit Week continues! We had a lot of fun at lunch playing corn hole in the Cafe. Thank you to the Class of 2016 for the boards, we have put them to good use already.  Community Council has more excitement planned this week so stay tuned and check our flickr page for Jim Smith’s photos all week. We had a good mix of both Prepsters and Hipsters around the building, but as is the Hipster way, they were more chill about having their pictures taken.  Go Blue Wave!
